UNH Launches E-Mail ForwardingBy Meg Torbert DURHAM, N.H. -- E-mail Forwarding, a new e-mail service, is now offered by the University of New Hampshire Alumni Association, Paul Caswell, president of the Alumni Association board of directors, has announced. E-mail Forwarding is a free service which forwards e-mail messages to UNH alumni, new graduates and students wherever they are -- in New Hampshire alone, there are 47,000 UNH graduates, more than 10,000 of whom live in the Seacoast area. Subscribers to the service are provided a permanent UNH e-mail address, such as "For new graduates, and for alumni who change their e-mail address often, this new system will be very valuable," says Caswell. While e-mail has become a very popular means of communication, Caswell notes that one of the frustrations is having to notify dozens of friends and relatives every time people change their e-mail address. "Having a lifelong e-mail address means alumni, new graduates and UNH students can give out an e-mail address that will never change," he says. "We are delighted to offer alumni another service through the Alumni Online Services system."
