DURHAM, N.H. – Maj. Gen. William N. Reddel III, adjutant general of the New Hampshire National Guard, will discuss the history, mission, and future of the organization at the next University of New Hampshire CEO Forum Thursday, Nov. 17, 2011.
“The New Hampshire National Guard -- What You Should Know,” begins at 8 a.m. in Huddleston Hall.
Reddel's presentation will include a brief history of the New Hampshire National Guard dating back to the Revolutionary War. In addition to the organization of the Army and Air National Guard, he will describe both the state and federal missions. He will present an overview of the federal mobilizations in support of Operations Noble Eagle, Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom and New Dawn as well as response to state emergencies. He will also present his vision of the future of the New Hampshire National Guard and how the community, state and nation can support a continuing National Guard presence.
Reddel has served as adjutant general since May 2009. As adjutant general, he oversees all aspects of the adjutant general’s department, which includes Army and Air National Guard and the New Hampshire Veteran’s Cemetery.
