DURHAM, N.H. - Each year, recreational boaters and commercial fishermen are faced with severe weather events on the water. Be prepared for inclement weather by learning about marine-based weather interpretation and forecasting!
NH Sea Grant is sponsoring a fisheries roundtable discussion Tuesday, March 11, from 6:30NJ:30 p.m. in the Hilton Garden Meeting Room of the Portsmouth Public Library. John Cannon from the NOAA Weather Service will be speaking about severe marine weather patterns and the resources available to help forecast the weather. Participants will also receive severe weather spotter training that will enable them to report weather events to the National Weather Service.
For more information about the meeting, contact NH Sea Grant extension educator Ken La Valley at ken.lavalley@unh.edu or 603.862.4343.
