LEE -- The University System of New Hampshire (USNH) Board of Trustees will take a formal vote on naming Dr. Mark Huddleston as the next president of the University of New Hampshire (UNH) in Durham at approximately 4:30 pm on April 18. The vote will take place in public in the Piscataqua Room at Holloway Commons and Dr. Huddleston will be on hand to take questions from the media following the vote. The university community, media, and the general public are welcome to attend.

Dr. Huddleston, the current president of Ohio Wesleyan University, would bring to UNH three decades of experience in public and private higher education as a faculty member, dean, and senior administrator. If confirmed, he will be the 19th president of UNH and plans to assume the presidency in July 2007.

The Board of Trustees will discuss Dr. Huddleston’s appointment during a non-public session at this special meeting of the Board. Following the non-public session, the Board will take a public vote. A high resolution photo of Dr. Huddleston is on line, as well as a copy of his CV.
