DURHAM, N.H. -- Employers looking for top students in engineering, technology, physical sciences and business are invited to a career and internship fair at the University of New Hampshire Oct. 18, 2006.
The career fair is sponsored by the Business and Industry Association of New Hampshire http://www.nhbia.org/ and offers employers an opportunity to meet undergraduate and graduate students interested in obtaining internships and jobs after graduation. More than 400 students are expected to attend. Employers also will have the opportunity to meet faculty to learn more about industry trends and staffing needs.
Prior to the fair, the Whittemore School of Business and Economics and the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences will host networking coffee receptions for employers interested in informally connecting with students and faculty from their colleges. The Whittemore School reception will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in MUB 330/332. The CEPS reception will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. in MUB 203.
“UNH is dedicated to supporting the employers in New Hampshire and the surrounding communities. These fairs allow employers to connect with the talented students at UNH who may become leaders in their organizations,” says Bethany Cooper, associate director of career support at UNH. “The job search process seems to begin earlier and earlier each year. Graduating seniors are focused on landing a job offer now for May, while underclassmen are eager to find ‘real world’ experience in the form of internships.”
Employers are encouraged to register early for the fair, since space is limited.
Students attend career seminars sponsored by University Advising and Career
Center during the semester to help them develop resumes and interviewing skills
in preparation for the job and internship search process. Employers interested
in recruiting UNH students at the fair and future events are invited to contact
Cooper at 603-862-2029 or email@example.com for more information.
