Andrew Smith, director of the Survey Center at the University of New Hampshire and an expert on presidential politics and New Hampshire’s first-in-the-nation presidential primary, is available to discuss the recommendation by a national Democratic National Committee subcommittee to hold Nevada’s caucus between the Iowa caucus and New Hampshire presidential primary.

Smith can be reached at 603-862-2226 (office), 603-868-3309 (home) and or andrew.smith@unh.edu.

New Hampshire state officials have indicated they may utilize a state law that allows the state to move the New Hampshire primary ahead of the Nevada caucus and possibly even the Iowa caucus in 2008, regardless of the recommended DNC rule. The rule is expected to be ratified by the full DNC next month.
