The Passing of a Potter
Nationally known potter and former ceramic instructor Mary Scheier died last month at the age of 99. Her husband and teaching partner, Edwin Scheier, survives her. Together the pair created an exciting life that involved 28 years at UNH.

U.S. News & World Report: Shifting Political Sands in the Granite State Keep Presidential Candidates Hopping

Democratic Gov. John Lynch cruised to re-election, while the state's two U.S. representatives, both Republicans, were ousted. "In five to 10 years, it'll be a solidly Democratic state like the rest of New England," predicts Andrew Smith, director of the University of New Hampshire Survey Center.
