breast-pumping needs?

staff and faculty needing a space to breast-feed or pump on campus.

Annual Staff Recognition Programs to be Held in May
The annual recognition programs for Operating Staff and PAT/Extension
Educators will take place during May 2004. The recognition program
for Operating Staff will be held Tuesday, May 4, from 10 to 11:30
a.m. The recognition program for PAT/Extension Educators will be
held Thursday, May 6, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Both programs will take
place in the MUB Strafford Room. Staff members will be honored for
longevity and excellence. Longevity is calculated by an employee
reaching 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 or 40 years of service by May 31,
2004. Letters inviting those staff members to attend the programs
were mailed on March 1. Please contact Christina VanHorn at Human
Resources, 2-0519 for additional information regarding either program
or if you should have received a letter and did not.
Embrace Life Fully program expands
The Embrace Life Fully (ELF) program has expanded coverage for the
Life Line Screening Prevention Program to include benefits eligible
spouses/same-gender partners of USNH employees. Life Line will offer
three noninvasive and pain-free screenings utilizing advanced Doppler
ultrasound, which can check for vascular disease. The screenings
are carotid artery/stroke, abdominal aortic aneurysm and peripheral
arterial disease. The three screenings cost $99, but ELF will subsidize
$25 of the cost of the program. Register by Wednesday, March 31.

Public forum held on storm water management
UNH will hold a public forum to discuss the requirements of the
campus Storm Water Management Program. The forum will provide the
campus community with an opportunity to give feedback about the
program or ask questions related to storm water management. It will
be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 31, in the Piscataqua Room
of Holloway Commons. Representatives of UNH, municipal and state
governments, and other concerned parties are invited to attend the
meeting. UNH will provide a summary of the questions and answers
from the forum and will post this information on the UNH Storm Water

Are you interested in the V.P. Discretionary Grant Fund?
Applications are being accepted for FY04 discretionary grants. Application
guidelines are available in the VPR&PS office. Info: Kathy Mandsager,

The proposal deadline is April 15.
Admissions reps needed
The Admissions Office is seeking nominations and recommendations
for energetic, outgoing students for our volunteer admissions “rep”
program. Interested students may obtain applications at Grant House.
The deadline for students to submit applications for the 2004-2005
academic year is April 2. Questions, nominations and recommendations
may be directed to Erika Chapin in Admissions at 2-2873 or erika.chapin@unh.edu.
U-plate inspections under way
All university vehicles (U-Plate vehicles) must be inspected during
the months of February and March. Valid inspection stickers must
be in place on all vehicles by March 31. Stop by the Automotive
