The Engineering, Mathematics, and Computer Sciences Library (EMCS
Library) has temporarily moved to New Hampshire Hall in preparation
for renovations at Kingsbury Hall.
Its former location will be used as temporary space during the Kingsbury
renovations. The library will return to the renovated facility in
Kingsbury Hall upon completion of the renovations.
“We’re expecting to move to our wonderful new location
in Kingsbury Hall when the renovations are complete,” said
Emily Poworoznek, librarian with engineering and physical sciences.
All regular branch library services and material types will be available
in the New Hampshire Hall location including reference service,
course reserves, calculators, current and bound periodicals, and
regular books. While library seating is limited, there is wireless
access for personal laptops. Also, the library has three laptops
available for use in the library.
Of the approximately 45,000 volumes moved over winter break, almost
all fit in the New Hampshire Hall library space. Materials not available
because of the move may be requested via the UNH library catalogue
online at http://www.library.unh.edu,
and may be picked up at the circulation desk in Dimond Library.
The main entrance to the EMCS Library is located at the rear door
of New Hampshire Hall, and up one flight of stairs. The library
is accessible for persons with disabilities. Parking is available
next to New Hampshire Hall in H-Lot.
For more information contact the EMCS Library at 2-1196, or visit
its Website at www.library.unh.edu/branches/engmathcs.html.
