Retirement Reception and Lecture for Professor Harvard Sitkoff

The department of history invites the UNH community to a lecture and reception in honor of professor Harvard Sitkoff Thursday, Nov. 12, at 4 p.m. at the Elliot Alumni Center.
Sitkoff, who retired this year after more than 30 years at UNH, has been a popular teacher and prolific author. His classes on recent U.S. history and the Vietnam War regularly filled to capacity, and his Ph.D. students have gone on to publish important work and teach in colleges in the United States and the United Kingdom. Among his books on the history of the civil rights movement is the recent biography, “King: Pilgrimage to the Mountaintop.”
