Learn About Lonza Biologics At The Next CEO Forum

The mysterious work of Lonza Biologics will be the focus of the next meeting
of the UNH CEO Forum Thursday, May 8.
Michael Cicio, vice president of operations and site manager of Lonza Biologics,
will discuss “Lonza Biologics, Inc. What goes on inside those four walls?” at
9 a.m. at the New England Center in Durham. Coffee and networking begins at
8 a.m. and a full buffet breakfast will be served at 8:30 a.m.
Lonza Biologics of Portsmouth is part of the Lonza Group headquartered in
Switzerland. With more than 650 employees at Pease, it specializes in the production
of
high-quality biotherapeutic products from cell cultures. It provides a
full range of manufacturing capacity from small clinical scale up through 20,000
liter scale for commercial supply.
Cicio has 22 years of biotechnology experience, with a focus in manufacturing
and contract management. Previous to Lonza, he was employed with Wyeth for
15 years where he oversaw drug substance contract manufacturing. He has experience
with manufacturing technologies, technology transfer, process optimization,
process validation, and facility start up, including equipment validation.

School of Business and Economics and the Graduate School serving CEOs, presidents,
