PAT Council 2007 Call for Candidate Nominations

What is the PAT Council?
The Professional, Administrative and Technical Staff Council
is a standing council of the University administration. It serves in an
informational and advisory capacity to the president and bears responsibility
and accountability to members of the PAT staff, which elects its members.
PAT Council election process?
The PAT Council holds elections each fall for ten (10-11) districts.
All campus departments are divided into twenty (20) districts, with one
PAT staff member serving as the representative for each district.
PAT Council representatives are elected for a two-year term from a district
to represent the district. In September, nominations are solicited from
each district. In October, one person is elected to represent each district
from those nominated. There is an additional PAT At-Large seat, representing
all PAT staff on the council.
How can one be nominated?
In order to run for the office of PAT Council representative,
either you or someone in your district must nominate you to be on the
ballot. All PAT staff members are eligible to nominate or run for the
At-Large representative seat. Nomination forms are posted online at:

To nominate someone, simply fill out the form and send it to the Nominations
Committee (see below). All forms are confidential. Currently, nominations
are being sought from the following districts: 1 – 6, 10, 15 and
18- 20.
