Matthew Gray Palmer, the artist who designed the bronze wildcat sculpture being erected at Memorial Field outside the Whittemore Center Wednesday, Sept. 20, will give a public lecture Thursday, Sept. 21, at the Paul Creative Arts Center.

Palmer will discuss sculpture, public art and the process of creating the two-ton UNH mascot. A reception follows the lecture, which begins at 4 p.m., in Room. A219.

The sculpture will be officially dedicated Homecoming Weekend, Saturday, Oct. 14, 2006, at 11 a.m. at Memorial Field. Festivities will begin with the UNH Marching Band, UNH cheerleaders and Wild E. Cat.
