The Office of Media Relations welcomes Jody Record as the new editor of Campus Journal, the faculty and staff newspaper at UNH.
Record has many years of experience as a journalist, most recently working for more than a decade as a correspondent with the Union Leader. She has worked for both print newspapers and online publications, and has extensively covered the university community.
“We are so fortunate to have Jody join our staff. We have worked with Jody for many years when she was a journalist, and we have a high level of respect for her work and professionalism,” said Erika Mantz, director of media relations.
As editor of Campus Journal, Record will cover monthly governance council meetings and report on information important to the university community, such as changes in health care benefits, high-level job searches, and community events and awards. She also will highlight faculty and staff in feature stories and work to promote their accomplishments to the university community.
Campus Journal is published every Wednesday during the academic year and every other week during the summer at http://unhinfo.unh.edu/news/campusjournal/index.html. In addition, the Campus Journal e-newsletter is distributed weekly to more than 1,500 subscribers. It includes all stories in the newspaper and periodically is distributed between editions for breaking news, such as for curtailed operations. In her spare time, Record plays tennis, writes fiction, reads and travels. She graduated from UNH with a bachelor’s degree in English/journalism. Her twin daughters also are recent graduates of the university.
