The Presidential Search Committee of Temple University announced last week that it would recommend to the university’s Board of Trustees that UNH President Ann Weaver Hart become the ninth president of Temple University.

Hart is on the Temple campus this week meeting with trustees, students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends. After that visit, the committee expects to make its formal recommendation to the Board.

Hart was chosen to succeed Joan Leitzel as the 18th president of UNH in 2002. Prior to that, she served as provost and vice president for academic affairs at California's Claremont Graduate University, and as the dean of the Graduate School at the University of Utah from 1993-1998.
