Our friend and colleague, Mary Barton, passed away March 5, 2006 at her home after a year and a half battle with cancer. Mary, a member of the Admissions Office in Grant House for three years, was a data analyst and a UNH student. A dedicated artist, Mary had a vibrant, kind, gracious, caring, gentle and warm personality. She touched all who knew her on campus and in the surrounding community. Mary’s smile alone would brighten the day and made our office a warmer place for her presence. We miss her genuine spirit and generous presence already.

Mary leaves behind her husband, Bob and four children: Bobby, a recent McIntosh College graduate; Stephanie, a UNH freshman; Katelyn, a junior at Oyster River High School; and Laura, an eighth-grader.
