The Administrative Office Professionals Planning Committee in partnership with the UNH Office of Human Resources will host the 9th annual Administrative Office Professionals Conference – “Gateways… through Professional Growth & Development” Wednesday, March 15, from 8 a.m. to noon and Thursday, March 16, from 8 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. in the MUB.
The AOP conference, which in the past was only a one-day event, offers 39 workshops that focus on time management, positive thinking, leadership, and organization among others. The conference is open to all administrative office professionals at UNH and guests from the USNH community. A continental breakfast on day one and gourmet lunch on day two will be provided by University Hospitality Services.
Nancy Puglisi will deliver the keynote address in which she will talk about "Gateways to Awakening and Transformation” and maintaining health and wellbeing as well as how to recover the zest for life.
“I will cover the whole personal wellness model and explore ideas to stimulate our power to awaken our ability to heal, transforming our lives,” she said. Puglisi said she is excited to participate in this year’s conference because she feels that it is a good vehicle to bring together all administrative office professionals and recognize their many contributions to USNH.
“From an organizational perspective, the conference highlights the efforts of administrative office professionals,” she said. “They are an important component of the university's operation and the day celebrates that fact. All parts make up the whole. We could not function as an effective organization without all of us interacting as a dynamic and synergistic system.”
