The search process for selecting the next president of UNH continues
to move forward. The Search Committee will hold an open forum
Thursday, September 7, 2006, from 10 a.m. to noon in the 1925
Room of the Elliot Alumni Center. Individuals from the UNH community
will be invited to comment on the desired presidential qualifications.
We have already received a number of inquiries regarding the
position and are pleased with the level of interest at this early
stage. We are encouraging interested individuals to submit their
applications prior to September 10. If anyone is interested in
making a nomination, they can do so by forwarding nominations
and expressions of interest to:

As we previously announced, Heidrick & Struggles has been
engaged by the Search Committee to provide assistance with the
search process. Ellen Brown and Stuart Sadick are our primary
contacts and they will be on hand for the September 7 meeting.
Ellen Brown is a Principal in the Atlanta office of Heidrick & Struggles
and specializes in senior level search assignments within the
higher education and nonprofit area, as well as in the legal
functional area. She has conducted senior level assignments for
clients including Colorado State University, Louisiana State
University, Rice University, Singapore Management University,
Syracuse University, the University of Cincinnati, and the University
of North Carolina.
Since joining Heidrick & Struggles in 1999, Stuart Sadick
has actively served clients in the business and professional
services and private equity sectors, and in the Chief Financial
Officer and Chief Marketing Officer functions. He also assists
clients in the assessment of their top talent for strategic purposes.
