UNH Professional Development & Training (formerly UNH Continuing Education and now part of the Graduate School), is seeking to further expand its professional development offerings and invites UNH faculty to submit proposals for new noncredit seminars, workshops, short courses, institutes, or conferences.
Planning is underway for Spring 2007 offerings and the deadlines for submitting proposals are as follows:
- For Spring 2007(Feb.-June offerings) -- August 25, 2006
- For Summer 2007 (July-August offerings) -- January 15, 2007
- For Fall 2007 (Sept.-Dec. offerings) -- March 15, 2007

If you submit a proposal, be sure to make your dean aware of it. If PD&T decides to offer the program, you will receive supplemental pay from Professional Development & Training.
Utilizing a mix of UNH faculty and external experts, UNH Professional Development & Training, currently offers more than 200 noncredit seminars, short-term Certificate Programs, and special conferences and institutes each semester in: management and supervision; project management; business writing and communication; sales and marketing; human resources, training, and coaching; teaching and school administration; social work and counseling; surveying and soil science; engineering management; nutritional counseling, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and other health-related areas; web design/development, desktop publishing, graphic arts; and more.
New offerings in the above named fields are sought, as well as offerings in other fields such as architecture, construction management, science and technology, painting and the arts for teachers and other professionals, professional writing, foreign languages, finance, accounting, budgeting, professional photography, healthcare, as well as others.
Offerings must be geared to adults who are seeking professional development to enhance their current careers or to develop new careers. Programs are held at Pease in Portsmouth, in Manchester, and on the Durham campus. Conferences are held at venues for larger groups.
