Undergraduate Research Conference ’06 Underway This Week

The seventh-annual Undergraduate Research Conference (URC) is underway at various campus locations. More than 700 UNH students present the results of their independent projects through posters, oral presentations, and demonstrations at more than 20 events throughout the week.

Highlights of this year’s URC include:

  • The Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Symposium (ISE), showcasing engineering students’ capstone experiments and interdisciplinary science research from departments across campus (Morse Hall atrium, Wednesday, April 26, 2-5 p.m.);
  • The Festival of Creativity and Culture, a coffeehouse-style hub featuring music, poetry, theatre, dance, and art exhibits (Hennessy Theatre, Friday, April 28, 3:30-5:30 p.m.);.
  • The Vice President’s University-wide Symposium, featuring the presentations of more than 200 students from a variety of academic disciplines (MUB, Friday, April 28, 9:30 a.m.-noon);
  • The 15th annual COLSA Undergraduate Research Conference, featuring the full gamut of research conducted by students in the College of Life Sciences and Agriculture (The New England Center, Saturday, April 29, 85 a.m.-12:30 p.m.).
