Faculty Concert Series Features Ne Point Passer

The Department of Music Faculty Concert Series will present baritone David Ripley and pianist Arlene Kies in a recital of French melodies by Gabriel Fauré and Henri Duparc. The duo has performed frequently at the university for the past 10 years, last year featuring Schubert’s Die Schöne Müllerin.

This year’s recital, Ne Point Passer (To Never Pass Away), reflects words taken from the closing of the beautiful melodie poem Au bord de l’eau by Sully Prudhomme.

Centaur Records has released a CD of the concert, recorded earlier in Johnson Theatre. There will be one performance only in the Johnson Theatre, Tuesday, April 25, at 8 p.m.

The concert is free and open to the public. For more information, call 2-2404.
