UNHM Hosts Sign Language Interpretation Program Open House

UNHM's Sign Language Interpretation (SLI) program is holding an open house for prospective students Thursday, April 13, 2006, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in Room 350. The open house will include an opportunity to meet the faculty, receive a program overview and have questions answered regarding the program and interpreting field in general.

The Sign Language Interpretation Program at UNH Manchester provides students with a strong theoretical foundation as a generalist in American Sign Language English interpretation and helps prepare students for either state-level interpreter screening or national Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) interpreter certification, depending on students’ skill level and experience. Graduates may go on to pursue specialty areas in interpretation or related fields of study.  For more information about the SLI Program please visit http://www.unhm.unh.edu/programs/sli/index.html or call Program Director Jack Hoza at 603-641-4143 (voice) or email at jack.hoza@unh.edu.
