UNHM will feature a lecture Thursday, April 13, 2006, by Mary Marshall Clark, director of the Columbia University Oral History Research Office, as part of the Saul O Sidore Lecture Series "Through the Golden Doors - Immigration in the Twenty First Century." The lecture, "Twice Betrayed: The Aftermath of September 11th in Immigrant and Refugee Communities," begins at 7 p.m. in the auditorium.
Clark is the immediate past president of the United States Oral History Association and has served on the executive council of the International Oral History Association. Currently, she directs one of the largest oral history projects documenting the events and aftermath of Sept. 11, 2001. She has also conducted a wide range of biographical interviews for Columbia University on a wide variety of subjects, including women’s history, media and journalism history, political history, philanthropy, and the history of psychoanalysis.
