Gymnastics Classes for Children Available at Field House
Gymnastics classes for school-age community children are being
offered Wednesday afternoons at the Field House. Boys and girls
classes of all levels are taught in a safe, progressive manner.

Banner 7 Training Is Available
User training for faculty and staff who use the Banner Student
Administrative System is scheduled to begin this month. An overview
presentation will be given in the MUB Theatre II Thursday, Sept.
29, 2 to 4 p.m. Registration is not required. The sessions will
be the same, so there is no need to attend both.
The training lab at 1 Leavitt Lane will be open and available for
hands-on training, practice, and assistance beginning in October.
Members of the SIS Steering Committee will be present. That schedule
is as follows: Monday, Oct. 3, 8 a.m. to noon; Wednesday, Oct. 5,
1 to 5 p.m.; Thursday, Oct. 6, 8 a.m. – noon; Tuesday, Oct.
11, 8 a.m. – noon; Thursday, Oct. 13, 1 – 5 p.m., and
Friday, Oct. 14, 8 a.m. – noon. Register at http://www.cistrainingcenter.unh.edu,
clicking on the Banner 7 SIS emblem, and choosing a session. Those
who will need more than a half-hour should sign up for two consecutive
sessions.
The Banner Student Administrative System will be upgraded to Banner
version 7 in October. The upgrade will begin after the close of
business on Friday, Oct. 7, and will continue into the day on Tuesday,
Oct. 11. Banner will NOT be available during this time. Please plan

The International Research Opportunities Program (IROP) funds
undergraduate research projects abroad every summer. Know a student
who’s a good candidate? Want to be a mentor yourself? Just

Current juniors may apply by Oct. 20 for funding for summer of 2006;

UROP Information for Faculty
Faculty are asked to share the following informationwith students
about the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP). Information
sessions for students to learn more about how they can develop
a project, investigate a topic, and receive funding will be held
Tuesday, Oct. 25, 3:30-4:30 p.m., MUB Room 302; and Tuesday, Nov.
1, 1–2 p.m., MUB Room 332. Proposal writing workshops
are set for Wednesday, Sept. 28, 4-5:30 p.m., Rudman Hall, Room
381 (science and engineering methodology); Wednesday, Sept. 28,
4-5:30 p.m., Hood House Solarium (social science methodology); and
Thursday, Sept. 29, 4-5:30 p.m. MUB Room 302 (arts and humanities;
all students welcome). Application deadlines are as follows:
Undergraduate Research Award, Oct. 12, and March 1, 2006; SURF Abroad
(for summer 2006), Dec. 14; SURF USA Deadline (for summer 2006),
March 1, 2006. INCO 590:
Student Research Experience is available to faculty members
who may identify students to work with them on activities related
to their teaching or research responsibilities. Variable credit.
