NEC Announces Winter Holiday Schedule
New England Center Hotel will close Wednesday Dec. 21, at 1:30 p.m., and reopen Thursday, Dec. 29, at noon. The restaurant closes Wednesday Dec. 21, at 1:30 p.m. and reopens for Sunday brunch Jan. 1, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The restaurant reopens Monday Jan. 2, at 7 a.m. (12-06-05)

Special Rec Pass Available to Faculty and Staff Only
The UNH Campus Recreation Department is offering all benefits eligible faculty/staff (with a valid UNH ID) the opportunity to fit in some healthy fun and fitness over the holidays by coming to the Hamel Recreation Center for only $5 a week.  All guests and/or other family members (18 or over) can join for $5 a day. The deal runs Dec. 19, 2005 to Jan. 13, 2006. Facility hours are Dec. 19-23, 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Dec. 24-Jan. 1, center closed for the holidays; Jan. 2-6 and 9-13 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and Jan. 7-8 and 14-15, noon to 5 p.m. Fill out paperwork at the front desk of the Recreation Center and don’t miss this opportunity to check out the facility and programs while the students are home for the holidays. Faculty and Staff Volunteers Sought by Student Judicial Programs
The Office of Judicial and Mediation Programs is looking for faculty or staff with an interest in helping students, to volunteer to conduct periodic investigations of alleged violations of the university’s discriminatory harassment policies. The nature of this work includes being available to quickly gather information from students and others within the university community who have direct knowledge of events that have been reported to the JMPO.  Typical situations can include sexual assaults, harassment because of a student’s race, gender, sexual orientation, etc, or incidents of threatening behaviors. While there is no set number of cases that occur each academic year, an average may be up to five. The independent investigator presents his/her findings to the director.  The director then decides whether the case will go forward through the conduct system. Interested faculty or staff may call the Judicial and Mediation Programs Office and speak to the director, Esther Tardy-Wolfe, at 2-3377. (11-28-05)

The Dairy Bar will deliver box lunches or trays for catered events of eight to 20 peoples. The Dairy Bar delivers fresh, home-cooked foods, desserts and beverages at very reasonable cost. Ice cream cakes, serving up to 24, available by special order. Advance notice of one day required if orders differ. If all orders are the same, lunch orders can be placed at 9:30 a.m. the day of the event. Delivery time will be established at time of order. Payment must be cash, check or by POB# on delivery. Two RCM Forums set for Dec. 13 and Dec. 15
UNH will present the initial recommendations for modifications to the Responsibility Center Management (RCM), a decentralized budgeting system implemented July 2000, at two public forums in December. The results follow a year-long review of the system. The forums will be held Tuesday, Dec. 13, and Thursday, Dec. 15, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in MUB Theatre II. The forums will include a presentation by the RCM steering committee and a period of questions and feedback from the UNH community. All members of the UNH community are encouraged to attend. Winter Parking Ban Under Way
The annual Winter Parking Ban is under way and continues through March 31. Under the WPB, most lots are closed to after-midnight parking every night, regardless of weather conditions through 6 a.m. the following mornings. Limited parking is available in "exempt" areas, and conditionally available in "weather-conditional" lots B and C. The status of the WPB is announced on a voice mail recording available by dialing 862-1001. Lactation room available
Dimond Library and the UNH President's Commission on the Status of Women are pleased to announce the opening of a new lactation space on campus available to everyone in the UNH community. Located in Dimond Library, this private room contains a hospital-grade Medela breast pump, a gliding rocker, a refrigerator, and soft music. The room is designed for nursing and milk expression.
