The 18 faculty members have been chosen to receive this year’s
Excellence awards for excellence in teaching, research and public
service. Nominated by their colleagues and students, winners of
the awards represent every school and college within the university.
“The UNH faculty community is filled with excellent scholars,
dedicated teachers, and caring mentors,” says Bruce Mallory,
provost and executive vice president for academic affairs. “While
we have many, many outstanding faculty members, each year we highlight
the achievements of a small number of those faculty for special
recognition.
“The winners of our excellence awards represent not only individual
accomplishments in teaching, research, creativity, and engagement,
but also they stand for the extensive contributions made by all
of our faculty. This year we’ve added a new universitywide
award to recognize the work of faculty mentoring to graduate students.
These awards are an opportunity for us to recognize the talent and
dedication of our faculty, and to let our students, disciplinary
colleagues, and public officials know what great resources the university
has to offer.”
