Custodial services temporarily reduced
With the school year rapidly coming to a close, the Facilities Housekeeping group is actively planning work activities to support the year end clean-up of the Residence Halls and certain academic facilities. This is a concentrated initiative spanning four to six weeks as many of the dormitories will be used for summer conferences, athletic camps, etc. Consistent with prior year practices, facilities is consolidating its workforce and temporarily reducing the custodial service levels within many of the academic and administrative facilities, including those by external service provider, GCA Services Group. Bathrooms will continue to be serviced daily with the majority of the cleaning performed during the evening. However, many of the routine services such as floor cleaning and trash removal will be performed on a very limited basis. The current workforce planning model projects the year end summer clean-up to commence on or about May 20. In this four to six-week period, please contact the Facilities Support Center at 2-1437 for emerging custodial needs.
