Music presents UNH Concert Choir and Symphony Orchestra May 1
 
The Department of Music presents the UNH Concert Choir under the direction of William Kempster and the UNH Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Robert W. Eshbach in concert Sunday May 1, at 3 p.m. in the Johnson Theatre of the Paul Creative Arts Center.

The Concert Choir will be singing the "Kyrie, Gloria and Sanctus " from one of Josef Rheinberger’s most famous works, "Mass in E Flat for Double Choir, Op. 109. Rheinberger (1839-1901)," was an important late Romantic German composer and prolific composer of choral music. The work will be performed a cappella from opposite galleries in the Johnson Theatre.

The orchestra will perform "Sinfonia Concertante for Winds and Orchestra, K. V. Anh. 1. 9." by Mozart, featuring Jonathan Tefft, oboe, Ashley Creighton, clarinet, Alison Gaines, bassoon, and Lauren Becker, horn. The concluding work is "Appalachian Spring (Ballet for Martha) 1990 version," by Aaron Copland.
