Award-winning poet reads at UNH April 14

Chris Forhan, an award-winning poet and graduate of the University of New Hampshire, will read from his work Thursday, April 14, 2005, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in UNH’s Hamilton Smith Hall, room 214. His reading is free and open to the public.

Forhan earned his master’s at UNH. His first book, Forgive Us Our Happiness, won the Bakeless Prize and his second, The Actual Moon, the Actual Stars, is the winner of the 2004 Samuel French Poetry Prize. Forhan’s poetry has won a Pushcart Prize and appeared in Poetry, Ploughshares, New England Review, Parnasses and other magazines.

Forhan teaches at Auburn University and in the Warren Wilson MFA program.
