| Bookings
being accepted for The Little Red Wagon New England tour
The UNH’s Theatre Resources for You is pleased to announce
this year’s summer tour of The Little Red Wagon. Bookings
from event planners throughout New England are being accepted for
performances that will be held June 15-Aug. 12.
The theatre troupe frequently performs for children and family audiences
at schools, libraries, festivals, fairs, banquets, hospitals, recreation
centers, state parks, camps, and churches. The Little Red Wagon
proudly presents two new shows. Hosts may choose the show that best
suits the location, audience, theme, and/or size of space.

The
45-minute show, “Camp Walla Wall Bing Bang,” conceived
by Sarah Marschner, is geared toward young people (PK-4th grades).
Through story drama, puppets, songs, and involvement theatre activities
with the audience, the Little Red Wagon will dramatize the story
of several very good friends who attend the famous and fun Camp
Walla Walla Bing Bang. When one of the gang gets homesick, the others
rally together to help, making this the perfect summer for all.
“The
Near-Sighted Knight
And The Far-Sighted Dragon,” by Eleanor and Ray Harder is
a 45-minute
musical theater comedy featuring costumed actors and a larger-than-life
dragon

puppet.
This modern fairy tale, set in medieval times, is full of fun twists
and unexpected characters: an overly independent and career-minded
Princess, an unemployed bumbling Knight, a homeless peace-loving
Dragon, an imprisoned King, and a wicked Duchess. They learn about
differing viewpoints, making decisions, solving problems, and examining
choices. Family audiences and young people, grades 2-6, are sure
to be captivated.
The Little Red Wagon is the longest running nonprofit, children's
theatre tour in the United States. Since 1971, the wagon has performed
every summer at more than 70 locations throughout New England. The
Little Red Wagon, a grassroots model program for New Hampshire,
was instrumental to the introduction of Theatre Education into the
public school system as a supportive tool for reading and learning.
