Health
Services earns national acccreditation

UNH Health Services has been nationally accredited by the Accreditation
Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). This is the highest
form of public recognition a health care organization can receive
for the quality of service it provides.
Status as an accredited organization means that UNH Health Services
has passed a series of rigorous and nationally recognized standards
for the provision of quality health care, set by the AAAHC. More
than 1,300 ambulatory health care organizations, including college
and university health centers, office-based surgery centers, group
practices, dental group practices, community health centers and
managed care organizations across the United States are accredited
by AAAHC.
Ambulatory health care organizations seeking accreditation by AAAHC
undergo an extensive on-site, peer based survey of their services
and facilities. Accreditation is a voluntary process. Not all undergoing
this process are granted accreditation.
“This is an extraordinary achievement,” said Mark Rubinstein,
UNH vice president for student and academic services. “UNH
Health Services is committed to excellence in providing our students
with the best health care possible.”
