Wireless
Internet access available in Dimond Library
Wireless Internet access now is available at the Dimond Library
in three reading rooms: Special Collections (Level One) Addison
and Hubbard (Level Three) and both balcony areas on Level Four.
Two branch libraries, the Biological Sciences Library in Kendall
Hall and the Engineering, Mathematics, and Computer Science Library
(Engineering/Math Library) now located in New Hampshire Hall, also
have wireless access. Laptops available in the branches can be used
on the wireless network and wireless printing is available in the
Engineering/Math Library. Patrons who have laptops with wireless
cards are invited to use their own computers in all three libraries.

Dependent medical/dental coverage: The graduation of a dependent
child could affect eligibility for dependent medical/dental coverage.
Children who are full-time students may be covered as dependents
from age 19 until age 25. Contact Sherry MacDormand at 862-0504
for a change in status benefits enrollment form.
Dependent tuition benefit: Children are considered dependent
if, at the time of enrollment, they are unmarried, have not reached
age 24, and otherwise meet the legal definition of “dependent”
as defined by the IRS.
Summer session: All Summer Session courses count toward the
2004-2005 fiscal year regardless of when the course begins. Tuition
waiver forms are available from DCE, Business services or contact
Human Resources at 2-0501.
Judicial Programs Office seeks volunteers for 2004-05
The Judicial Programs Office is looking for dedicated individuals
to serve as hearing board members, hearing officers, appellate board
members and staff advisors for the upcoming 2004-2005 academic year.
No prior experience is necessary. Training will be provided during
each semester for all volunteers. To volunteer, call the Judicial
Programs Office at 2-3377 or 2-2509.
Celebrate with Carol French
Friends of Carol French, educational assistant in the College of
Engineering and Physical Sciences, are invited to a reception in
her honor from 3 to 5 p.m., Wednesday, May 19, in the Squamscott
Room of Holloway Commons. Carol is retiring May 28 after 39 years
of service.
Celebration for Mennel is May 4
Please join colleagues Tuesday, May 4, for a celebration of Bob
Mennel’s service as director of the University Honors Program.
The event will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. at Acorns Restaurant in
