Deadline
for student aid application is March 1
The 2004-05 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available at
the Financial Aid Office, in the basement of Stoke Hall or online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
The 2004-05 FAFSA deadline is March 1. This is the date by which the FAFSA or
renewal application must be received at the federal processor.
Grant deadline approaching
The spring application deadline for the Irvine Professional Development
Grant is Feb. 1. The Irvine Grant is awarded twice yearly in the
amount of $250 in support of the professional development of UNH
administrative office professionals. All benefits-eligible UNH/UNHM
administrative office professional staff are eligible to apply after
one year of service. Grant opportunities might include workshops/classes
not covered by USNH tuition waivers and travel/accommodations for
off-campus professional development workshops. Grant criteria are
available with the application.

UNH signs formal agreement to further
work in El Salvador
UNH has
formally agreed to work with El Salvador’s Ministry of Environment
and Natural Resources (MARN) and the University of El Salvador (UES)
on research and training.
UNH President Ann Weaver Hart signed two memoranda of agreement
with the institutions Jan. 20, which pave the way for further collaborations
in the areas of pollution prevention, water resources and hazardous

won a gold medal award for best magazine from the Council for Advancement
and Support of Education (CASE) District I. CASE
is an international organization that advances and supports
educational institutions. District I includes the six New England

have the chance to recognize outstanding students by nominating them
for scholarships and awards. Nominees are recognized for their academic
