UNH Media Relations writes and markets stories about the university for state, regional and national media outlets (print, radio and television). a branch on the tree of life Hubbard Center receives major grant to study one of the world's most diverse animal groups A $2.5 million grant will support researchers at the Hubbard Center for Genome Studies in developing a comprehensive understanding of nematodes (roundworms), one of the most abundant and genetically diverse animal phyla on the planet. The grant is part of the National Science Foundation’s Tree of Life project, which seeks to answer the fundamental question of modern biology: how all of life, from the smallest bacterium to the largest whale, is related in a vast, complex genealogy.
