The UNH String Project is a member of the National String Project Consortium (NSPC) - http://www.stringprojects.org

The National String Project Consortium (NSPC) is a coalition of String Project sites based at colleges and universities across the United States. The NSPC is dedicated to increasing the number of children playing stringed instruments, and addressing the critical shortage of string teachers in the US. The NSPC is affiliated with businesses, foundations, professional music organizations, and individuals who support these goals.

The NSPC was founded by the American String Teachers Association (ASTA) - http://www.astaweb.com

The American String Teachers Association, founded more than 60 years ago, is a membership organization for string and orchestra teachers and players, helping them to develop and refine their careers. ASTA's members range from budding student teachers to artist-status performers. The organization provides a vast array of services, including instrument insurance, an award-winning scholarly journal, discounts on publications and resources, annual professional development opportunities, and access to collegial network of colleagues throughout the string profession.

The UNH String Project has received a generous grant through the NSPC from the D’Addario Foundation, making it possible for us to reduce tuition by 50%. -http://www.daddariofoundation.org/

The D'Addario Music Foundation was established in 1981 as a non-profit corporate foundation committed to inspiring and assisting the growth and appreciation of music throughout the world. The focus of the Foundation's giving is in the areas of stringed as well as band and orchestral musical instruments primarily through the support of educational programs, events, and performance-based activities.
