Prior to his appointment to UNH, he held positions as principal cellist of the Fort Worth Symphony and Chamber Orchestras, and as assistant professor of cello at the University of Kentucky. Sally Wituszynski - Master Teacher

Sally Wituszynski earned her Bachelor of Music degree in Viola Performance at the New England Conservatory of Music, and her Master’s degree in Music Education at the University of New Hampshire.  She has been the string teacher and orchestra director at Berwick Academy in South Berwick, ME since 1993, and has maintained a private teaching studio in the Seacoast since 1983.  She is also a past president of the New Hampshire chapter of the American String Teachers Association, and frequently conducts at the statewide string festivals in both Maine and New Hampshire. Mrs. Wituszynski is excited to be the master teacher at the UNH String Project in Durham, NH.  She believes strongly in both the opportunity to provide low-cost music lessons for children and in encouraging the next generation of string teachers with practical, hands-on teaching experiences.  She is also an active freelance violist and violinist, regularly performing with the Artful Noise String Quartet and many local choruses, and in the pit for Berwick Academy's musicals.
