The Study of Music History

The Department of Music has maintained a long history of excellence in music historical study and performance. Our current and emeriti Music History faculty members are active as scholars both nationally and internationally. Graduate students may work towards a Master of Arts in Music at the graduate level with a concentration on the history and theory of music.
