Brief Biography of Prof. Robert Stibler

Robert Stibler (rstibler@cisunix.unh.edu) received his M.M. and D.M.A. in performance studies from the Catholic University of America, and a B.M., summa cum laude, in music education from Susquehanna University. He holds the academic rank of full professor of music at UNH where he is the coordinator of graduate studies and teaches trumpet, brass methods, and music literature. Equally skilled in trumpet and early wind instruments, he has performed with ensembles as diverse as the National Symphony Orchestra, the U.S. Naval Academy Band, Calliope and the New York Cornet and Sacbut Ensemble. Prof. Stibler is the founder and musical director of the Hampshire Consort, and plays cornetto and recorder with the Alamire Consort. He is active as a trumpet soloist and brass clinician, and performs regurlarly with organist Abbey Siegfried.
