Brief Biography of Prof. Michael Annicchiarico

Michael Annicchiarico (mja2@cisunix.unh.edu) received his B.M. in composition from the University of New Hampshire and his M.F.A. and Ph.D. degrees in composition from Brandeis University. He is currently an associate professor at UNH, where he teaches mainly in the area of music theory and composition.
Prof. Annicchiarico has composed works for orchestra, chorus, chamber ensembles, and jazz bands. His music has been performed by such groups as the University of Ohio Wind Ensemble, the Rutgers University Symphony Band, the Jazz Heritage Orchestra of Cleveland, OH, and the Willow Flute Ensemble. Prof. Annicchiarico received commissions for "...that which feeds the soul..." and "Chelmsford Common," which were premiered by members of the UNH Wind Ensemble and the town band of Chelmsford, MA, respectively..
