Dan Pouliot is a New Hampshire-based photographer and web
designer. A 1989 UNH alum with a
B.F.A. in painting, he went on to study at the Maine Photographic Workshops and
the
Kit at the Kiln is a digital portrait of fellow artist Kit Cornell, a potter, who is working at the kiln. From the digital file of a photographic image, Pouliot took a row of pixels and extended them vertically to create the stripes seen in this digital composition. The cool blues, violets, and grays contrast with the dark black and the fiery red to create a brilliant and unique perspective on one artist viewing another.
