Homecoming 2011

Please save the dates (October 28-30) for Homecoming.

Our Homecoming social event is scheduled on Saturday, October 29th this year, which is later than usual but we are still hoping to have fabulous weather.  This year, there is one large alumni tent rather than separate tents as in past years.  However, please note that the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences will have a large area designated within this tent.  We will have our usual student displays/projects and activities so we should be easy to find.  Just look for the CEPS Alumni flag and the ME banner along with the other engineering signs!

Refreshments (barbecue, vegetarian chili, and hot and cold drinks) will be available for as long as supplies last!  There will also be lots of fun activities for children such as balloon sculptures, a haunted house, face-painting and karaoke!  This year, UNH is playing Rhode Island and kick-off is at 12 noon.  Hope you can cheer them on!

For more detailed information on Homecoming, go to the Alumni Website.

Go to the Alumni Center by October 19th to purchase discount tickets.

Homecoming is a great way to catch up with faculty, friends, and alumni of the Mechanical Engineering Department as well as to meet our students.  We hope to see you there!

Reflections

"The Mechanical Engineering program equipped me with more than just fundamental engineering knowledge; it gave me practical experience that helps me excel in my career every day.  My success as an undergrad is a direct result of the time the faculty invested in me.  Their guidance, support and vast knowledge make the program especially unique." Vanessa Kohler, BSME 2010.

"I highly recommend the ME program at the University of New Hampshire.  This program offers an education that anyone should be proud of.  It consists of challenging courses, encouraging professors, and embracing peers who eventually become long-lasting friends.  The curriculum helps develop not only vital computer skills, but also ideals of overcoming challenges as well as teamwork.  I take extreme pride in being a graduate of the UNH Mechanical Engineering program." Bradley Turner, BSME 2010.
