Steve is Emeritus Professor of Organizational Behavior at the Whittemore School of Business and Economics, University of New Hampshire, where he also served as Associate Dean from 1976-1978 and 1998-2001. Previously, Steve was an Associate Professor at Case Western University and a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Leeds, England.
Steve continues to teach graduate and undergraduate courses in Organizational Behavior, Organizational Theory, and Organizational Change. With an extensive background in clinical psychology, he has a special interest in the area of organizational crisis and change. Steve is a co-author of a widely adopted textbook entitled, Effective Behavior in Organizations, published by Richard D. Irwin Company. He has also co-authored a text entitled, Designing and Managing Organizations, also published by R.D. Irwin Company in 1983. Steve has served as an organizational and management consultant to a wide range of organizations, both public and private. His research on organizations led to the publication of his most recent book, High Commitment Workplaces, published by Quorum Books in 1992.
Steve lives in Durham with his wife, Elaine, who was formerly the Art
Director of INC Magazine, a Boston based business magazine. She currently
manages her own design studio in Durham.
