Required Undergraduate Courses:

 

 

611 – Organizational Behavior

 Behavioral science concepts applied to work settings. Focus on understanding and analyzing

 individual beliefs, values, goals, perceptions, motivation, commitment, and decision making;

 group structures and processes (interpersonal skills, communication, conflict resolution,

 leadership, and team work); organizational control systems (rewards, task design,

 performance appraisal); outcomes (satisfaction and development of the person as well as the

 organization); and organizational change.

 

 

703 – Strategic Management:  Decision Making

 Capstone course: integrates the functional discipline skills within the role of the general

 manager, the external environment of the firm, and the strategic decision process. Uses case

 analysis, industry and competitive analysis, environmental scanning, and strategic audits.

 Open to WSBE majors only.

“Option in Management” Undergraduate Courses:

 

a) Students must take:  2 Required courses

·        ADMN 614 Organizational Leadership and Structure

·        ADMN 701 Business, Government, and Society

 

b.) Students may choose:  2 Mgt 600-level or 700-level Elective courses
 

·        Mgt 647 Business Law (Also--Required for Accounting Option)

·        Mgt 713 Leadership Assessment and Development

·        Mgt 755 International Management (Also--Elective for International Option)

·        Mgt 732 Entrepreneurship (Also--Required for EVC Option)

·        Mgt 798 Applied Management Seminar
(Only open to Honors Students in Mgt Option with GPA > 3.2)

·        Mgt 798 Topics

 

There will be one section of each required course every semester

for a total of two per year opened to juniors and seniors.

Electives will be offered at least once per year.
