Richard England
Prof. Richard England's interests in natural resources and environmental protection span theory, empirical evidence, and practice. He has published scholarly papers on natural capital and economic growth theory, on motor fuel taxation and energy conservation, and on property taxation and land development. He has served as a consultant to the New Hampshire Community Development Finance Authority, the New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority, and New Hampshire Association of Realtors. He currently serves on the Town of Durham Economic Development Committee.
Richard received his doctorate in economics from the University of Michigan, where he wrote a dissertation on economic growth and environmental pollution. He has been a visiting faculty at Boston University, University of the Middle East (Morocco), and Central European University (Hungary). In 2002, he received the Jean Brierley Award for Teaching Excellence, the university's highest award for teaching. He is presently a visiting fellow with the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy.
