The LunaCats were an exhibit at Aerospacefest 2012 at the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center! We showed off our new lunabot for the very first time! Thanks to New Hampshire Space Grant for making this happen!

We were an attraction at the Children's Museum 5k Road Race today! The little kids loved our old robot :)

The LunaCats were a main presentation at the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) meeting in Durham last night! We had some great questions from the engineers there, and we hoped we answered them up to their specifications! Thanks to Dean Henry for inviting us!

Today we demo'd the lunabot at Oyster River High School in Mrs. Carr's computer class! Hope the students liked it!

The UNH LunaCats were a display today at the Disrupt!vate Conference 2012! Everyone loved the moon stress balls that we gave out as swag, and hopefully we gained a couple of sponsors!

We had a great time today at the Robert J. Lister Academy! Unfortunately our robot had a malfunction on the way in and refused to work, but we hope that the kids enjoyed the presentation regardless! Thanks to Mr. Jean for inviting us and hopefully we can come back again to show off our new lunabot!

The 5th and 6th graders at James Mastricola Upper Elementary School had an exciting day with the UNH LunaCats! They watched a presentation on our Lunabot and then gave us some great tips on how to build a robot! Thanks to Mr. Pim for inviting us and thanks to our own Andrew Kennedy for giving an awesome presentation!

The LunaCats staffed the UNH Recruiting table today at the BAE Systems FIRST Granite State Regional in Manchester. Hopefully we got some potential freshmen interested in Mechanical Engineering! Thanks to UNH's Dean Henry for inviting us.
Feb 24th, 2012:
Welding of the new Lunabot is about to begin! All of our aluminum tubing has arrived, and we are almost done with cutting and milling the pieces. We are so excited to see our robot start taking shape!
Feb 20th, 2012:
The LunaCats had an amazing time with all the kids at the Children's Museum of New Hampshire! Dozens of kids got the chance to drive around last year's Lunabot and loved it! (And of course the kids had no problems knowing how to drive the XBOX controller that runs the robot.) Special thanks to Jaron Peters for showing each and every kid how to drive the bot! We were such a hit that the Museum has invited us to come back! Look for the LunaCats giving demos at the Children's Museum Road Race on May 5th!

The Design Phase of our new Lunabot is finally over! Here is a little model of our bot that was made with a rapid prototyping machine: meet our mini-bot!
