Fees and Expenses of the UNH Italy Study Abroad Program
Travel
Fall and spring semester participants must make their own travel arrangements (group flights available for some summer programs). Fall semester participants fly into Venice for an orientation and then take a group bus to Ascoli Piceno. Spring semester participants will fly into Rome. Trip cancellation insurance is left to each individual's discretion.
Fall and Spring Semester Fees and Expenses (The UNH-in-Italy Program reserves the right to adjust fees at any time.)
Program fee - see below (covers tuition for courses up to 20 credits, housing, course-related excursions, and health insurance)
Application fee $40 (non-refundable)
Room damage deposit $200 (any unused portion will be refunded after the students return to the United States)
Not Included : Art supplies, meals, personal travel, miscellaneous living costs, text books, and transportation to and from Italy
Payment Deadlines
A non-refundable deposit of $400 is due two weeks after receipt of an acceptance letter. The balance will be be due in early August for the fall semester and in early December for the spring semester. All students, including those whose fees are paid 100% with financial aid, or students whose fees are paid with the AMS plan, must pay the deposit.
Nota Bene: Students participating in the program are exempt from mandatory university fees (with the exception of the technology and deferred maintenance fees) for the semester. All UNH financial aid is valid for the UNH-in-Italy program.

2013 Summer Fees and Expenses (UNH-in-Italy reserves the right to adjust fees at any time.)
The 2013 program costs for the Music and Language in Italy program will be $3655 for NH residents ($3949 for non-NH residents) which covers tuition for 7 credits, housing, piano rental fees, 2 group meals, and theatre tickets and transportation within Italy on program-sponsored trips. Not included in this cost is airfare to and from Italy, the $40 application fee, $44.25 UNH technology fee, and a $20 summer registration fee.
The 2013 program costs for the Exploration in Nutrition and Culture and Intensive Language programs are $5120 for NH residents ($5456 for non-NH residents). Included in this cost is tuition for 8 credits, housing, some group meals, travel within Italy on program trips, and entrance fees to selected museums. The following expenses are not included in the program fee:

$1,300-$1,500 estimated group airfare - arranged for all participants from Boston to Italy if there is enough interest - students may opt to make their own travel plans.
The 2013 program costs for the Painting in Italy program has not been finalized yet. Please refer to the following 2012 costs to get a general idea: $4,134 program fee for NH residents and $4,282 for non-NH residents) which covers tuition for 4 undergraduate credits (graduate credits will incur a higher program fee), housing, some group meals, travel within Italy on program trips (including lodging on overnight trips), and entrance fees to selected museums. Not covered are the following expenses:

Payment Deadlines
A non-refundable deposit of $400 is due two weeks after receipt of an acceptance letter. Airfare payment for programs with group flights and registration deadlines will be provided at a later date.
