April 30, 2008:  Jackie Bunting is currently working on her dissertation proposal for a Ph.D. in Linguistics at the University of Chicago. She has recently submitted an article to the Journal of Pidgin and Creole Languages, and is keeping her fingers crossed for a positive reply. Jackie has offered to be a contact for any students who wish to talk to a current graduate student about the application process or what it's like to be in a Ph.D. program.
