Students may major or minor in linguistics at UNH.  If you are an undergraduate or prospective student thinking about declaring a linguistics major or minor, you should talk to Naomi Nagy, the Linguistics Program Coordinator.

The major

Requirements for the major

Course descriptions (provided by the English Department-- many LING courses are included)

An Honors Major in Linguistics is also possible.

The minors

The Linguistics minor consists of any five linguistics courses approved by the coordinator of the linguistics program.
It is highly recommended that English 405 or Linguistics 405 (or 505) be one of the five.

A TESOL minor is also available.
