Despite the end of the Great Recession, American families still rely on the income of wives at record levels, with employed wives’ contribution to total family income holding steady at 47 percent, which is its highest level in decades, according to new research from the Carsey Institute at the University of New Hampshire.
Theater and Dance Department’s “Ideas in Action” Reaches Across Curriculums
In an initiative that has art imitating life, one college student deals with an abusive boyfriend while another denies she has an eating disorder, and a high school student faces an unplanned pregnancy. These situations were presented to graduate students in Mary Banach’s social work class by actors, in a cross-curriculum collaboration with the theater and dance department.
