Russian/Declaring a Major

sadobnikov

Students entering the University as first-year or transfer students may declare the Russian major as part of the Admissions process.

If you are a continuing student interested in declaring Russian, you will need to complete the change of program process outlined below.

The change of program process

Obtain a yellow change of program form from the Registrar's Office or download one here. If you are an undeclared major, you should meet with your undergraduate advisor at Hood House to start the process. If you are a declared major, you should meet with your major advisor to start the process. Your advisor will sign you out of your current major and provide you with your student academic file. Continue to obtain appropriate signatures on the form following the order listed on the bottom of the form.

When you bring your file and form to the Russian Program office, you must make an appointment through the administrative assistant with the advising coordinator. All majors must complete a study abroad program in Russia.
